Happy Halloween Giveaway

When witches go riding, and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
β€˜tis near Halloween.

How was your week-end?
Mine was of the cleaning and tidying kind, not really my favourite but what could I do?  So I rolled up my sleeves and went to work. Re-organizing the children’s closets and winterizing their wardrobe, putting away the Summer clothes that still fit, filling out a bag for donations. Then proceeding to do the same to my closet (still about a third to be done). As you can see it was fun πŸ™‚
This Sunday also being the day before Halloween Darling Daughter and Sweet Son insisted in decorating the house. As a result we now have scary carved pumpkins (yummy soup later this week πŸ˜‰ on our front steps. The one you see featured here has been carved by Sweet Son himself. A scary pillow stuffed monster with bloody hands is sitting on our front chair porch. Our front door is now completely covered in white spider cobwebs. The finishing touches are a rather ghoulish flying skeleton keeping company to a giant black fuzzy spider with red blinking eyes. I hope I did not scare you too much πŸ˜‰

To her great dismay Darling Daughter’s knee brace does not fit in with the costume she had in mind, so she will forgo dressing up this year. Instead she will be opening our doors to the neighbourghood’s children and distribute all sorts of candies.

Just as I was starting to write this post I happen to notice that in exactly 6 days I will be publishing post # 500 which is really exciting to me. I want to share my joy with all of you dear friends. As luck would have it I have been contacted by a Scrapbooking Digital Software Company and I will be able to offer this to the winner of my giveaway. I have also been given a unique coupon code: STMMMS76506 for you my readers to get $10 off the software and $10 in store credit.

I  don’t remember if I ever shared it before but Scrapbooking was my first love, way before photography came in the picture, pun intended πŸ˜‰ So it seems only fitting to be able to do this now.

Here is what you have to do…Leave a comment here telling me what you would do should you win this giveaway. I’ll be announcing the winner next Monday. Good luck everyone :-).

P.S: I almost forgot to tell you I registered myself for NaNoWriMo (talk about scary stuff). The whole month of November I’ll be writing my heart away while letting go of my fears and my doubts. Do you want to join? I could use a friend…

  1. Good luck with NaNoWriMo. It is exciting to get focus for a whole month on writing. I did NaNoWriMo in 2009 and 2010 but petered out both times about half way through and did not keep going after November, which is what is needed to complete a book. So this year, I'm not officially taking the challenge but simply trying to find an hour a day to work on my story with the goal of continuing on way past November. Although, now that I know you are doing this, I'm tempted to seek the comraderie.

  2. If I were lucky enough to win? (which I'm never- by the way)…I'd put together a scrapbook from my trip to Italy. Something I've been meaning to do for years!!Congratulations on your 500th post!!!

  3. Tracy, I hope your cold will soon subside and I am sending warm hugs from Vancouver :-)Hilary, I am enjoying it all and I have not started yet ;-)ladyfi, Thank you :-)Isabelle, Have you ever done it?Vicky, Scrapbooking is so much fun…I am glad you are cheering on the side lines :-)Carola, Getting hooked, now that sounds fun ;-)Brian, Thank you and Sweet Son was quite proud of himself if I remember well ;-)Karen, Well they all came to our house after having tried yours πŸ˜‰

  4. Sssh. Don't tell anyone, but I'm hiding in my house from the trick or treaters. The blinds are down, the lights are off and I'm doing this only by the light of the computer monitor.

  5. That pumpkin looks like it has a really good big laugh. I would love to see the others as well.NaNoWriMo? I thought about that last year and then didn't do it, and certainly won't do it this year either. It's just the time, otherwise I'd be very tempted.I love scrapbooking – that's actually how I re-discovered the creative side in me -, but so far I have never tried digi scrapbooking. It would be interesting and exciting to try it (and probably get hooked), I have so many projects.

  6. I definitely started digi scrapping long before I discovered blogging and one was a nice send off into the other. But then scrapblog started to charge for their templates and I was truly turned off from using them anymore so I haven't scrapbooked for a long time! Would be fun to start up again πŸ™‚ Good luck with NaNoWriMo! I will mull it over a few hours and see if I can muster the courage to leap!! Thanks Anyes!

  7. Sounds like you had a busy, fun and productive weekend. Congrats on your upcoming milestone. Have fun with the giveaway. I think it would be a great gift-giving idea. I have a couple of folks in mind. πŸ™‚

  8. Wishing you & yours a very Spooktacular Halloween, Anyes! I did NaNoWriMo once at my old blog… I don't think I could post every day, though the idea is a good one. ;o) I have a cold at the moment, so not easy to think at all… LOL…So glad you enjoyed the newsletter. Happy Week, my friend ((HUGS))
