Just when I needed it…

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.
It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.
We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.
Albert Schweitzer

Thank you Chantal for sending me this beautiful message reminding me of what really matters. I am so grateful for your gift and feeling quite spoiled.

A while back in September, I remember thinking about this little cafe. I pictured I’d go there to seat in and write for about three hours once or twice a week. Yet here we are, already February, and to my dismay I have not even tried to go there once. Everyday life with all it’s urgencies kept me away from my dream.

As I was starting to question this artistic journey I have chosen for my life, the card you see at the top of my post, came in my inbox this morning. It said exactly what I need to hear.  So today, for the first time, I will take my book, my pen and my camera and go to this little cafe I know. There I intend to spend a few hours writing and see how it feels.

Isn’t it interesting how the Universe always has a way to get its message across?

  1. Like everything else we sincerely want to accomplish, being joyful is something we should deliberately plan into our lives. If particular people or actions give us joy, then we should make sure there are plenty of specific ways for them to fit into our time and our plans!

  2. I am glad I am forcing myself to find a suitable place to write. I have noticed that when I stay home, there is always something more important to be done, taking me away from my writing.

  4. I went on a scouting expedition and ended up in a different cafe, the one I was thinking of was too busy. Making it slowly a priority in my life πŸ™‚

  5. I feel so honored you shared it here, my work… and as for the words, I sometimes have to be reminded of them myself… but then it works… so to all your readers, do what you love!!! And do it 'as often' as possible at least.XO Chantal
