When scattered clouds are resting on the bosoms of hills, it seems as if one might climb into the heavenly region, earth being so intermixed with sky, and gradually transformed into it. Nathaniel Hawthorne
Ever wondered where the clouds are coming from? It’s a question I often asked myself as a young child and now that I know the answer I am still in awe of their majestic presence.
On a windy Autumn evening, walking in my neighbourhood I get absorbed in this other world. The one in my head, where the clouds are the cover protecting every one and everything.
I can not help but feeling secure as if under a giant force field. I forget my worries and my fears and just gaze up feeling love for their beauty.
I have often said I want to become a painter, to paint the sky and capture the amazing design of the cloud cover on a stormy afternoon. I never got the courage to start, and nowadays my camera is my paint brush and this blog is my canvas…
Any ongoing love affair you care to share with me here, dear friend?
The act of creating -anything! Beautiful.

Ahhh, depends on the season- today it was pink and blue clouds as the sun rose. All of nature holds such awe for me these days. Perhaps my favorite is sunshine 🙂 Love your cloud reflections!

There is something magical about clouds…that we can drift away while gazing at them…and I love how you have taken your idea of painting the sky from using a brush to using a camera and your words as your canvas. And I’m loving the new look you’ve created here!

I have made peace with the fact I am not painting and given how much I enjoy the artistic freedom I get blogging, I thought it was a good analogy…I am glad you like it xo
I just changed to new layout and I think we have a winner 😉

So many love affairs with things of nature: clouds, trees, plants, birds, many animals, penguins a special favourite, cats ditto, the sky, and water, still and moving.
I would also have liked the talent to become a painter. Or a potter.

Your cloud images are fabulous, the light is magical.
My ongoing love affair is with trees. I just can’t seem to get enough of them, especially after just having spent a weekend in the forest, camera in hand, in the company of two dear friends. That makes it all the more special.
