This last part of Autumn is still so pretty, vivid and colourful
Taking the last photographs of those flaming leaves still hanging on
I am wishing somehow there would be a way to slow time,
Since I’m not ready for the next chapter yet…

Flaming leaves…hanging on — I’m with you — I’d like to slow time because moving into the next chapter…I am not mentally ready for that.

That quote is such a perfect description of a beautiful forest covering the mountains in autumn. I once saw that from a plane and the colors were so brilliant; it was like a flame, with so many brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows. I am with you – not quite ready to move into winter. We might get our first snow tomorrow.

Autumn is one of my most favourite seasons – but I also like the elegance of tree skeletons silhouetted against the sky. And the much more muted and restful colour palette of winter appeals too.
