From within or from behind, a light shines through us upon things,
and makes us aware that we are nothing, but the light is all.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
As I type this, the thunder growls outside my windows and I hear the loud splashes of the heavy rains on my window pane. Interesting how being safe inside makes me better appreciate nature’s temper tantrums. It’s November in British Columbia and as usual rain is part of our Fall Festival, accompanied by her friend strong wind mixed with an occasional thunder-storm.
The photograph I chose for this post makesย me think of sunnier times, when light is everywhere to be seen and felt. When the skies are high and fluffy of baby blue colours and white puffy clouds. So posting it now reminds me to be patient and to wait the rains out. The time will come when the light will be back. In the meantime I close my eyes and pretend…the sun warms my skin the sunlight blinds me and I smile…
Thanksgiving in the US is starting tomorrow so I wanted to wish all my american friends a beautiful family reunion with all their friends filled with joy and gratitude. Giving thanks every day is the best way to make this world a better place, one thought at a time…
I’m missing the light at the moment. It’s stormy outside so I’m thinking about the summer too. Stay warm Anyes!
